Stretton-on-Fosse sits on the edge of the Cotswolds, a village of mellow stone buildings where quiet prevails. Fir Tree Cottage occupies the middle position in a trio of properties at the end of a private drive, giving it seclusion without isolation. The Plough Inn lies within a mile, and the Roman Fosse Way connects you to the wider region's attractions—Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace, Stratford-upon-Avon and its theatres are all within reasonable reach.
The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: a double on the first floor and two singles in the second. Downstairs, the living and dining area has a wood burner, TV and DVD player, while the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine all present. The bathroom combines bath and shower. Electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard; initial fuel for the burner is also supplied. An enclosed garden with patio and seating faces open countryside, and there is parking for two cars on site.
One well-behaved pet can stay free. The village itself offers rambling through public footpaths and nearby fishing; those who prefer structure will find National Trust properties and Cotswold villages—Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water among them—within easy driving distance. Smoking is not permitted inside.
