Hollywood Bowl Leicester

What a wonderful little hidden gem! Waking up to birdsong surrounded by trees and nature was absolutely blissful and so relaxing. Communication with June was excellent from the moment of booking, making everything smooth and stress-free. The site was easy to find, and after a long four-hour journey, it was lovely to be welcomed with such a warm smile. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily book again if I’m back in the area. Highly recommended!

Small informal caravan site in a woodland clearing. Best to approach the site from the East via Newtown Linford for the widest roads. Also it's not possible to see the entrance sign from the Western approach. The entrance is a bit narrow but it was ok for our 7'6" x 8 metre caravan. The entrance gate is not automatic but is unlocked and easy to open. The gravelled tracks are tight but with care you can avoid rutting the soft verges. The pitches are on firm ground and wide enough for a caravan without an awning. Note, the ground can get muddy after rain. The toilet hut is a bit rustic but ok. It's accessed by walking over the grass clearing so waterproof footwear is a good idea. The TV reception is poor, we could only get a few channels and they kept breaking up. We brought our TV Recorder and watched prerecorded programmes on that. There's no WiFi for streaming TV. The mobile phone signal and data was ok though, Nice owners, we were met on arrival and introduced to the site and given some ideas for our visits. Really helpful and considerate, it was a pleasure to get to know them.

Just had 3 lovely nights at this little gem of a campsite. The owners are really pleasant and knowledgeable about the local area. Did some great walks fromthe site. 2 pubs in the village, we ate at the Bradgate which was nice. Saw a couple of Jack deer on the site and loads of birds. Will definitely be going back when we are in the area. Only about 10 mins from M1.
