About The Old School
A former schoolhouse converted into a welcoming B&B, The Old School retains a sense of its original character while offering comfortable modern accommodation in Dalleagles, just outside New Cumnock in East Ayrshire. The building's history gives it a distinct charm compared with a standard hotel stay, with rooms set around what was once a village school.
Bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family and accessible rooms are available, along with drinks provided in the room and free WiFi throughout. Breakfast is served each morning, and packed lunches can be arranged for guests heading out for the day. Outside, there's a garden and outdoor seating area to relax in, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward. Reception is staffed around the clock, and a laundry service is on hand for longer stays.
New Cumnock itself lies a short distance away, with pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby for evening meals, plus entertainment options within easy reach. Golfers will find Royal Troon Golf Club a notable draw in the wider area, making The Old School a practical base for exploring East Ayrshire.
