What visitors say
A good place to take a break as you travel through the lake district. Lots a things for the kids to do while you take a break, although the food is expensive and a bit boujee!

Great food and a really lovely place to spend time. The menu is lovely and everything we ate was done really well. The deli is brilliant too, with lots of tempting bits to take home. What really makes it stand out is how family-friendly it is — the children loved the activities, especially the indoor play area, which made the whole visit relaxed and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back.

Saw the longest yarn exhibit today and the level of details and time put into each display was astonishing. The Rheged centre was pleasant to have a quick wheel around the shops. It has lifts but you can just wheel up/down the central ramp to reach each floor. There are plenty of disabled toilets and disabled parking bays free for 5hrs. The food looked enticing but we didn't eat there.

The food was average at best, but the weird thing is that nothing matched what we ordered on the menu. Hash brown with tomato relish was actually "hash brown bites" Dry cured bacon & fried egg sandwich with tomato pesto had no tomato pesto on it Smoked salmon was actually just regular I smoked salmon French toast wasn't french toast and instead regular toast And the quality is no higher than average. I wouldn't recommend, probably best to eat at the deli rather than Cafe
