Morawelon Caravan and Camping Park

Parrog, Newport SA42 0RW, UK

A waterside site at Parrog, a level walk from Newport town centre

About Morawelon Caravan and Camping Park

Morawelon Caravan and Camping Park occupies a rare spot right on the Parrog waterfront in Newport, beside the old lime kilns and within easy strolling distance of both the town centre and the estuary shoreline. Pitches spread across open grass with views towards the Nevern Estuary and Newport Sands, and the site keeps things refreshingly simple: a well-maintained amenity block, electric hook-ups for caravans, motorhomes and tents, and direct access to the Coast Path in both directions.

What sets Morawelon apart is its village-tucked location. You can walk to Newport's shops, pubs and cafés without fetching the car, slip down to the beach for an early swim, or pick up the coastal trail straight from your pitch. The facilities can feel fairly basic compared to bigger parks, but for campers who value convenience and that gentle sound of the tide over an evening pint, this waterside pitch delivers exactly what's promised.

A beautiful spot right on the coast with direct access to Pembrokeshire coast path. Everyone we met on site were really friendly and welcoming. Facilities are clean and modern, fantastic food and drinks, and ice cream available on site. We had a gently sloping pitch which gave us a fantastic view of the bay. We will absolutely come here again ❤️

Camped here for a week with my kayak club. Fantastic views of the sea. Seagulls raiding unattended food and rubbish bags. Clean toilets, showers £1. Flexible on where we pitched. Mostly sloping pitches. Nice shop and cafe. Pleasant friendly proprietor. Some water pressure problems at top of site. Very spacious. Tight rules on which way to point yoir van. Great location for kayak trips. Very pricey.

Perfectly positioned site with fabulous views. Great facilities. Loved all the flower baskets. Lovely shop and cafe with friendly staff. There was a big kayak meet up while we stayed in our motorhome but they were all friendly and great to watch them on their adventures. All very peaceful at night. Lovely walks even went in the sea. Dogs loved it. Would stay again thank you x x

Fantastic campsite, great views from any pitch, really dog friendly. In fact, most campers had a dog with them when we visited. The cafe/restaurant has delicious food and such reasonable prices and the drinks are also very cheap. Clean facilities -just don't forget £1 for the showers. Really close to the beach and river with walks along the coastal path in either direction. Loads of space for kids to play. Whole place just had a lovely relaxed vibe and the staff were always helpful and friendly.
