About Conifers Camping
Windsurfing, sailing and body boarding… and forts, castles and coastal hiking: all are easily accessible from family-run Conifers Camping, just a few minutes from Newport beach. Smashing views sweep over the bay down to Newport town, about 10 minutes' walk away, where you'll find a general store, butcher, health food shop and plenty of pubs and restaurants for supplies or a night off cooking.
This peaceful Pembrokeshire site welcomes families, couples and well-behaved dogs, offering free hot showers, toilets, launderette and dishwashing facilities. Reviewers praise the clean facilities and helpful, friendly owners, though some note the toilets can feel a little dated. With a choice of electric and non-electric pitches for tents, trailer tents, touring caravans and motorhomes—all on grass—it's a reliably comfortable coastal base.

What visitors say
This was a great place to stay for a night. We parked out van up with a brilliant view of the bay. During the evening we had a great sunset to watch, fortunate to have clear skies to see it go down. Staff were very friendly, with clean toilets and showers. There are 2 sites to be on, with our van we had the slightly lower field, giving a nicer view of the bay. Although we didn't look at the views hugely from the the fields to compare. In the evening the wind was blowing up the hill side, but by the morning it was quiet and still. A great site to park up for a night, which we did, but also one to spend a few days too. If we are to be in the area again, we would be staying here. Being near some great local places to visit, it was a good spot to stop at. There are a few stone age burial grounds, for example Carreg Coetan Arthur, and the Nevern Castle to visit, and a beautiful beach to walk down to. Some walk around the long way around to see some of the beach, otherwise you can get your feet wet to go through the water coming down through the beach.

Decent campsite, loos/showers were relatively clean. No stand to put soaps on in the showers and the washing up sinks were quite small. The pitches are alongside the drive as well which is a bit odd when people are driving past your tent. Greeted by a lovely lady though

Stunning views ! Lovely clean site . No dog walk on site, so was a pain at times, but wouldn't stop me coming back . Walk to the beach was about 15 mins . Lovely few pubs , I recommend the golden lion for Sunday roast !

This is a nice site with good sized pitches and nicely presented. Nice showers and very clean toilet/cleaning facilities which was a must as it was not especially cheap to stay here. Hand basins in the toilets are too small to be of any use however. Bin area needs to be larger to cater for when the site is full although they were emptied at the end of each day. Welcome on arrival was ok, very formal and not warm at all. I would say the site is dog tolerant rather than dog friendly. There are signs saying no exercising of dogs on the site or the adjacent fields, despite there being plenty of space. Too many rules plastered on notice boards and around the site for our own liking. Easy access to the town and a beach area with a great fish and chip place (the scampi was amazing) although the hill is quite challenging on the way back. Lovely views of the beaches from the site.
