About New Inn by Greene King Inns
Thirty-four rooms spread across two floors make New Inn by Greene King Inns a straightforward, sizeable base on Chepstow Road, north east of Newport. Free on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point suit anyone arriving by car, while bus links into the city centre mean you don't have to drive everywhere, and the valley beyond is within easy reach too.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks and family options for those travelling with children, plus accessible rooms where needed. Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar serving breakfast and kids' meals, a snack bar for something lighter, and a garden with outdoor seating for sitting outside when the weather allows. Free WiFi and 24-hour reception cover the practical side, and pets are welcome throughout.
Beyond the inn itself, there's a golf course nearby along with other pubs, bars and restaurants in the surrounding area, plus some local entertainment options. It's a functional, pet-friendly stopover rather than a destination in its own right, geared towards guests who want easy parking, a reliable meal on site, and quick transport into Newport.
People say this extended stay hotel offers lovely food and has a soft play area for children. They also highlight the friendly and attentive staff, and the convenient location near the conference center.
Other reviews mention the rooms can be basic.
