About Ferrygate Camping
Tucked away in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, Ferrygate Camping offers a genuinely peaceful, off-grid escape with direct access to the river. Kayakers, paddleboarders and boaters love launching straight from the site, while those seeking a quieter pace can simply watch the stunning sunsets unfold across the water. The welcome is warm and helpful, facilities are kept spotlessly clean, and campfires are positively encouraged — though you'll be without Wi-Fi, which is rather the point.
Families and dogs are both made welcome, and there's the bonus of morning coffee and pastries to ease you into the day. It's a back-to-basics setup (no chemical disposal point), but if you're after somewhere genuinely secluded to explore the Broads from, this ticks all the boxes.

What visitors say
Just back from a weekend, lovely site, we wanted to test our set up with the camper off grid. Really good dog walks from the door. Launch for your paddleboard/ kayak. Wash up station, showers & toilets which are really clean. The showers are basic and outdoorsey but the water was warm enough. We would recommend and return.

We escaped the heatwave that hit the rest of England for the late May bank holiday weekend. Ideal location - beautiful sunny field in the day, quiet and full of stars at night. 10 minutes drive from a great sandy beach at Winterton. Plenty of room for the kids to run around, completely off-grid and loving it. Pastries and coffee in the morning were a welcome bonus!

We have just stayed at this campsite for two weeks for a family holiday. Its location is excellent - you can launch canoes and paddle boards straight onto a quite part of the broads from the campsite. Electric boats to explore further afield are available to rent close by. The site is close to the coast and excellent beaches with seals at Horsey. And there are other activity days like Bewilderwood, Thrigby Wildlife Park and Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach close by too. The wildlife on the broads is amazing and Holly was a great host. The toilets and showers were more than adequate and cleaned morning and night, as were the washing up facilities. And she provided a large cannister of drinking water which was filled each day and never ran out. Busier at the weekend but still loads of room for everyone and firepits allowed.

First time here but would definitely come back. Holly was very warm snd welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Facilities good and great level ground to pitch on. Perfect proximity to launch kayaks. The only minor thing I would suggest which may enhance the business would be a pizza van or small food van delivery perhaps on gone nights or thr option of BBQ meats or bread orders delivered. This didn't take anything away from the stay there. Hopefully see you next year!!
