SQLArran Cottage
North Ayrshire
SQLArran Cottage comes with everything you need for a self-catering stay. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer, so you can cook properly or travel light. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all included, along with initial logs for the woodburner. There's parking for two cars on site, a bike store, and an enclosed garden with patio furniture for outdoor time.
The cottage itself is a two-storey stone building sleeping four: a double and two single beds upstairs, with a bathroom and separate toilet. Downstairs is a living and dining room with a woodburner, freeview TV and patio doors opening onto the garden. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. One dog is welcome. The property does not permit smoking.
Lochranza sits at Arran's northern tip, a quiet village built around its loch where red deer, golden eagles, seals and otters are regularly spotted. The Isle of Arran Distillery is nearby with tours, a café and shop. There's an 18-hole golf course, walking trails, a seafood restaurant and a hotel bar. A ferry terminal connects to Kintyre. The busier towns of Brodick and Lamlash are south, with supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The island offers mountains, forests, beaches and glens within reach of each other.
