Kilbirnie sits in the Garnock Valley, where moorland, woodland and coastal paths converge across rural North Ayrshire. Tennox Farm House occupies a small gated development in this landscape, a working farm property that sleeps six across three bedrooms—a super king, a king and a double—with one bathroom. The whole place is yours alone, including a private hot tub for six on the back patio.
The ground floor holds two living spaces: one with a television and games room with a pool table, the other combining kitchen and dining area. You'll find a full range of appliances here—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine—plus a second television. Upstairs are the bedrooms. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. Private parking fits three cars, and there's a bike store. The property welcomes young children, with a travel cot and highchair available. No smoking is permitted throughout.
The immediate area draws walkers and cyclists to the Ayrshire Coastal Path and the valleys inland, while Culzean Castle, golf courses and the beaches near Turnberry lie within reasonable reach. There is a pond on the grounds 100 yards from the house. A unique private heritage centre featuring a collection of motor vehicles operates on the estate, with private tours available by arrangement with the owner.

Wow wow wow what can we say about The Boathouse at Tennox? We booked this stay last year for the end of April this year.whilst driving from Yorkshire to Scotland we received a call giving us access information on getting into Tennox Farm. We were meet by a member of staff who showed us around. What a stunning place this is and the grounds are beautifully kept. The cottage is just so quirky and original. Just everything about this cottage is beautiful. It is one of the nicest places 9for its quirky originality) we have stayed in.when all the lights are on it’s just sparkles. You open the patio doors onto a seating area and the hot tube looking over a little pond and fountain. At night this is just so peaceful. The bad points (and I say this with only helpful criticism in mind) The hot tube only one half of it worked, for us it’s not an issue as there was only the 2 of us. The jacuzzi bath did not work (this I was gutted about as I really wanted to use this feature in the cottage) Daft things like the hangers next to the hot tube all rusted and the patio table being stabilised with bits of wood. The internet dongle was useless (but we had come here not expecting any internet at all) Did ant of this bad points effect our visit? No not in the slightest. The staff were perfect and were even recommending places to visit, my suggestion is Largs such a beautiful place. We visited many places around the area and this location was perfect for us to return to at the end of each day. The local shops and takeaways are just a couple of miles away. Would we visit here again? YES We are planning another visit next year. Would we recommend Tennox Farm to anyone else? YES MOST DEFINITELY WE WOULD. WE LOVED EVERY SECOND OF OUR STAY HERE.

Currently on our last evening at staying in "The Stables" & we have previously stayed in the "The Parlour" at Tennox Farm. 5star for everything. Upon arrival we were shown around the property and given information on how to use hot-tub, fire safety regulations, places to eat and where to go for walks in the area. The Stables itself is glorious, clean, private and spacious enough for the 5 of us & can accommodate 8 if needed with 4 doubles 2 en-suites with baths and a main bathroom. It was immaculate throughout and has access to hoover/iron/washing machine & dishwasher. The Stables is quite private with no other houses on looking when in hot tub or on the balcony. We were lucky with the weather and have visited Largs, Troon and a number of beaches all within 20-30 mins away and also a Lidl, Tescos & smaller shops less than 10 mins away. The car museum is fab as-well as the horses and highland cows on site to visit. We all felt at home and safe here and couldn't recommend enough! Thankyou!

A group of 8 of us stayed at Tennox Stables for 2 nights between Christmas and New Year. Could not recommend this property enough! We wish we could have stayed longer. The photos don’t do it justice - we were blown away by the place. Graham is a star showing us around and is always on hand if needed. There’s a Tesco a 5-10 min drive away which is perfect and the staff kindly leave you a handbook of local restaurant, taxi numbers and things to do nearby. Can’t wait to come back!
