The Wee Nunnery is a substantial seafront property on the North Ayrshire coast, a short walk from the beach and within reach of Largs town centre. Five bedrooms across two floors accommodate up to 14 guests, with a combination of double beds, bunks and pull-out singles. The ground floor holds the main living space—a kitchen-diner with two ovens, gas hob, dishwasher and laundry facilities—plus a living room with seating, TV and entertainment options, and a shower room. Upstairs, the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom; the other four bedrooms share a family bathroom with a spa bath. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered.
Outside, a private hot tub seats six and the sauna sits within a lawned garden with seating areas. There is parking for six cars and a bike store. The property suits large family gatherings or group holidays. Non-smokers only. Walking and cycling are strong draws locally: Skelmorlie marks the start of the 100-mile Ayrshire Coastal Path, and the wider region offers beaches, castles, country parks and golf courses. Ferries from nearby Largs reach the islands of Cumbrae, Arran and Bute, or further afield to Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula. Glasgow and Edinburgh are accessible by train for a day out.

I just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you for everything you (Alan) did to help make my daughter’s bridal shower at the Old Nunnery so special last weekend. From the very beginning, you were incredibly helpful and accommodating, and you made sure everything ran seamlessly. It took so much stress away knowing we were in such good hands. The house itself was absolutely perfect for the occasion — beautiful, welcoming, and exactly what we had hoped for. Everyone commented on what a wonderful venue it was, and it really helped create such a memorable weekend for our family and friends. Thank you again for all your help and kindness. We truly appreciated it and would not hesitate to return in the future.

Very nice place, bit strange and could do with a little revamp. Just little things like the seating area(mouldy cushions) and a leaking drain, waspinator wouldn't be a bad shout as there's millions of the little buggers. Couldn't use the front hot tub which is a shame as the sun sets were amazing. But all in all we all had a brilliant time there, thanks loads.

Stayed at The Old Nunnery for my daughters 21st. Alan the host was extremely helpful in getting us all settled in 17 guests. Rooms were all decorative, clean and spacious. Massive kitchen, well equipped and a bar area with extra fridge space. Laundry room Hot tub was set in a lovely shed space with bbq. The view out towards Rothesay is beautiful.Even saw dolphins Area was quiet . Would definitely love to go back here.
