Anchor Cottage

Anchor Cottage is a terraced cottage in Instow, a coastal village on the North Devon shore. The building has been furnished for comfort and comes with essentials including wi-fi, heating, bed linen and towels. One dog is welcome, and there's direct rear access to the enclosed courtyard—useful for rinsing off sand and salt before coming inside.

Downstairs holds the living room with a wood burner and the fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed and one with a bunk arrangement (double beneath, single above), plus a shower room. The cottage sleeps four. Parking is on the road, with additional summer permits available at the nearby cricket club. Everything is a level walk from Instow's restaurants, pubs and shops, and the beach is minutes away. The village has a well-stocked deli and is known for exceptional sunsets in summer.

Bideford lies a short drive north, with boat trips to Lundy Island departing from the quay. Westward Ho!, three miles west, has a long beach and good surf. Further afield, Exmoor and the north Cornish coast offer walking and hidden coves at places like Clovelly, Bucks Mill and Hartland Quay. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
