This 300-year-old Grade II listed cottage is a one-bedroom annexe built into the fabric of Instow, a waterside village in North Devon. The property sits adjacent to the owner's home, accessed through a bright cobbled courtyard with seating and garden furniture. The beach and dunes are yards away.
Inside, the ground floor holds a small kitchen, a living room with original cobblestone flooring and a wood-burning stove, and a wet room with shower. Steep wooden stairs lead to the first-floor bedroom with a kingsize bed. Essentials including electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. The cottage does not permit smoking.
The village itself has four pubs nearby, a delicatessen and restaurants, many with outdoor seating overlooking the estuary and boating on the water. Appledore, a fishing village across the water, is reachable by ferry or car. The location suits couples wanting a quiet coastal base within walking distance of everything the village has to offer.
