Midships

North Devon

Instow sits on North Devon's coast with a long sandy beach, a working estuary and the Tarka Trail cycling and walking route running through the village. Midships stands just yards from the shore in this small, lively community where water sports, sailing and fishing happen in the bay, and the promenade stretches flat and wide along the dunes.

This terraced fisherman's cottage has two bedrooms—one with a 6ft super kingsize bed, one with a 5ft kingsize—and a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs, the living room has a TV and DVD player, and there is a separate dining room and a kitchen with a cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. An enclosed courtyard at the back has seating and a garden area. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The property does not allow smoking.

The village has a pub and restaurant 50 yards away, a village shop selling local food 400 yards off, and several cafés and restaurants with estuary views. Bideford is 2 miles away for boat trips to Lundy Island and town shopping. Walkers and cyclists make good use of the Tarka Trail; horse riding, golf and fishing are available nearby. Dogs stay free.
