Slade Cottage sits on a sheep and goat farm in a quiet valley a mile from the hamlet of Charles, within reach of Exmoor's walking routes and the North Devon coast. The single open-plan bedroom holds a double bed and a bunk, with the living area, kitchen and shower room all on the ground floor. Patio doors open onto an enclosed lawned garden where children and dogs can roam freely. Parking for two cars is on site.
The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals—electric oven, induction hob, microwave and fridge. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered. One dog stays free, though they must be kept on a lead as the property is part of a working farm. The village of Brayford, two miles away, has pubs and restaurants, and there's a 900-year-old church set above the Bray Valley. Non-smokers only.

Would highly recommend staying at Slade Farm. Our doggo had access to his own fenced off garden in a well maintened setting as well as access to a large field and further rear field with several cut grassed paths, giving him plenty to do. We stayed in the Nuthatch, and the cottage was presented to a high standard with all of the essentials being supplied. The owners greeted us upon arrival as well as seeing us off, and they were very friendly. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay! Thanks again.

Beautiful location and peaceful surrounding for these beautiful cottages. We hired both cottages and the shepherds hut for our wedding weekend and had a really great stay. Sparkling clean, with all the amenities we needed as well as BBQ areas for us to use whenever. The owners live on site and were a pleasure, easy to communicate with and very helpful.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend and it was absolutely lovelly. Not being able to drive, the host made the stay perfect for us by reccomending great attractions nearby as well as how to access them. She made sure that all of our needs were met and being only a phone call away made it feel very secure. The accomodation was absolutely lovely with a bbq, fire pit and hammock all included. These helped to make the stay feel much more naturalistic as we had so much choice as to how we wanted to spend our time. I will definitely be revisiting once I am able to drive as this stay was worth every penny.

Beautiful place in a beautiful location 🥰 surround by coastal walks and lovely Picturesque coastal villages I could not recommend a nicer place to stay . The owner Anna is a lovely warm person . When you visit you will not be disappointed. 🥰
