Slade Farm - Slade Barn
North Devon

Groups of up to eight will find space to spread out across this semi-detached barn conversion on a sheep and goat farm in rural North Devon. The ground floor holds an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a wood burner, plus a kingsize bedroom with its own shower room. Upstairs, a reading area connects four more bedrooms—two doubles, one single and a fourth with a pull-out single bed—served by a shared shower room. Underfloor heating on the ground floor and gas central heating throughout keep things warm; wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.
The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, with an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher and all the usual appliances. French doors open from the dining area to a private, enclosed garden with a patio and seating, where a lawned section provides space for children to play. One dog is welcome and stays free, though it must remain on a lead in this sheep country. Private parking for two cars sits on site.
This location works well for families wanting immediate access to Exmoor National Park—just over a mile away—and the quiet hamlet of Charles lies nearby. Brayford village, two miles distant, has a 900-year-old church and various pubs and restaurants. The setting itself, overlooking forest and fields where deer regularly pass, offers the kind of tranquility that comes from being genuinely remote yet accessible to the coast and walking country.
