Blacksmiths Cottage stands in Stiffkey, a conservation village between Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney at the heart of North Norfolk's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage sits within a half-acre shared garden facing south across countryside, planted with fruit trees and opening onto paths that lead to the saltmarshes within minutes on foot. It's the kind of location where you can walk to the water's edge before breakfast and still have time for coffee at the local shops 100 metres away.
The property has three bedrooms sleeping six: one with a kingsize bed, two with singles. Downstairs, the living room and kitchen/dining room both have open fires for cooler months, and the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking rather than holiday shortcuts. There's a shower room on the ground floor and a full bathroom upstairs. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi are included; the shared laundry room has a washing machine and tumble dryer if you need them.
The immediate area draws walkers, birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts—the nearby Stiffkey Freshes is home to grey and common seal colonies, with pups visible seasonally. Holkham Hall, one of Britain's largest country estates, is close by, as are three heritage railways within easy driving distance. One dog is welcome in the cottage. No smoking inside, please.

We stayed here at the beginning of June 21. The owners are thoughtful and communication was good. The cottage is charming, cosy and has everything you need. The location is perfect for exploring North Norfolk. The coastal path is only a few hundred yards from the house.

Beautiful cottage, loved staying here, any minor issues are what you would expect with a 300 year old building.. sadly no ghosts
