Blakeney Quayside Cottages - Buttercup Cottage
North Norfolk
View on Google MapsPhoto: Quayside Barn
Blakeney's narrow lanes slope down to a working quay where boats bob at anchor and the salt marshes stretch toward Blakeney Point, home to grey seals. The village itself—all flint cottages and weathered charm—sits on Norfolk's north coast between Wells and Sheringham, close enough to both for day trips but far enough to feel genuinely remote. Buttercup Cottage is a terraced property right in the heart of it, sleeping six across two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The ground floor holds a kitchen with full equipment for cooking, a dining and living space with an open fire and Freeview TV, and a separate games room with a pool table. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize and a pair of pull-out singles, the other with two single beds. The lower ground floor has another living area. Central heating runs on Economy 7, and the cottage is yours alone—no shared ownership, no other guests. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard. There's a courtyard with garden furniture and space to sit outside, plus bike storage if you want to explore further. A pub lies within walking distance.
The beach is a short walk away, and the cottage welcomes one pet free of charge. Families with young children will find a travel cot, highchair and stairgate already here. No smoking inside.

What guests say
Quayside Barn was the best place we have ever stayed in Norfolk. It’s beautifully designed and renovated, everything is of the highest quality, it’s super warm and has a wonderful calm energy to it. It’s location is perfect and watching the stars from the balcony is heaven. Thank you for letting us stay there.
