Daisy Broad Lodges - Coot
North Norfolk
The Norfolk Broads stretch across North Norfolk in a landscape of slow waterways, reed beds and wide skies. Daisy Broad Lodges - Coot sits directly on the riverbank, one of four properties in a small group with its own stretch of the River Bure. Norwich and its castle lie 8 miles inland; the coast is within reach for a day out.
Coot sleeps 8 across four bedrooms: two doubles with en-suite showers on the ground floor, and two rooms with single beds upstairs. There are three bathrooms in total. The living spaces follow an upside-down layout, with the main sitting room and dining kitchen on the first floor opening onto a balcony that overlooks the water. The kitchen has both electric and gas hobs, a dishwasher, and everything needed to cook for a group. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Parking for two cars is available on site.
The real draw is outside. A lawned garden runs down to the river's edge, furnished with seating and a barbecue. A free motor launch comes with the property and can be moored alongside, ready to explore the Broads (day-boat hire is available during peak summer weeks). If you have a fishing licence, the owner's additional riverfront nearby is available for fishing. The property does not permit smoking, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.
