North Norfolk's landscape between the coast and the Broads includes working estates where deer still graze and wild birds concentrate around water. Deer Park Cottage sits on such an estate at Gunton, where red and fallow deer move through 14 acres of grounds shared with other holiday lets. The cottage itself is a single ground-floor unit with one double bedroom, a bathroom with bath and shower, and an open-plan living and dining space with a wood-burning stove. A south-facing garden and bench look out across the park.
The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and wifi, bed linen, towels and fire fuel are all provided. Private parking is on site. One well-behaved pet can come free of charge. The grounds include a network of footpaths and a fishing lake (available by arrangement, at cost). Roughton village has a shop two miles away, and the pub at Gunton is within walking distance. The North Norfolk coast is six miles off, Blickling and Felbrigg Halls are nearby, and the Broads are easily reached by car. Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.
