Stag's Rest is a barn conversion built from traditional Norfolk brick and flint, retaining period character throughout. The whole property is yours alone, set within quiet countryside near North Walsham with direct access to footpaths and quiet lanes. Two miles inland from the beach, the location sits between the quieter stretches of coast and villages like Walcott, Cromer and Sheringham within easy reach.
Everything is on the ground floor. The open-plan living space has a woodburner, Freeview TV and DVD player; the kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. One bedroom has a king bed with ensuite shower, the other has zip-and-link single beds; there's also a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included, as are initial logs for the fire. A travel cot and highchair are available if you ask. Your own enclosed courtyard comes with garden furniture and a barbecue, and you can use the shared one-acre meadow for play or walking. Two cars fit in the private parking area. One well-behaved pet stays free; no smoking inside.
Norwich is a 30-minute drive for shopping, museums and restaurants. The Norfolk Broads at Wroxham, 12 miles away, offer boat hire and river trips. Walking and cycling opportunities start on the doorstep.

A beautiful place to relax and to do as much or as little as you want. A very nice, thoughtful welcome pack ! Appreciated after our very long eventful journey. Just a little thought, the showers are lovely but can get very slippery !! Perhaps a non slip bath mat would be useful ?? Or opportunity to request a bath mat ??? A wonderful stay.

The best holiday we've had for years in the UK!! We (family of 4 + 1 dog) stayed in Stag's Rest at Manor Farm Barns in Aug-21 and had an amazing holiday. If you're looking for somewhere clean, rural (but within 10mins of the coast, shops etc) and with owners who really care about their guests, you've found the perfect place. Thanks to Anne and her husband for making our holiday such a brilliant one! Colin

Had a fab week staying here in July with the family. Lovely, extremely clean barn with great owners- Anne was super helpful and friendly. Location is pretty rural which suited us fine- managed bike rides with young kids from the front door to the beach and Bacton woods on the quiet local roads. Would definitely recommend.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Owl’s Roost for a week and the location was perfect for our needs. We loved the daily fresh eggs available to buy, laid by the hens on the property! The provided patio furniture and BBQ made for a lovely al fresco dinner and the field provided ample space for a game of frisbee, catch or a simple relax in the sun with a glass of wine! Particularly lovely was the visit by the ice cream van between 5pm and 6pm daily - we didn’t have children with us but this didn’t stop us flocking to get a nostalgic and delicious 99 each evening. Facilities were excellent and local amenities are a short drive! Everything was perfect and we will be sure to return again soon.
