Oil central heating keeps things warm year-round, and the essentials—electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi—are included.

Fakenham sits within reach of the Norfolk coast: Wells-next-the-Sea with its quay and fishing fleet, Staithe Street's shops and cafés, and wide sandy beaches with painted huts are all nearby. Inland, country estates at Holkham, Houghton, Sandringham and Blickling draw visitors interested in history and landscape. The Georgian market town of Holt, with its distinctive High Street, lies close by.
