The Wherry Arch is a converted historic building in secluded woodland near North Norfolk's Barton Broad. Originally a trading wherry loading point, the arch structure has been transformed into a detached holiday home sleeping five across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The building retains its architectural character while offering modern essentials: a fitted kitchen, two shower rooms, and a sitting room with French doors onto a balcony.
Bedrooms comprise two double beds and one single, with bed linen provided. The kitchen has an electric cooker and full appliances for self-catering. Outside, there's a garden with furniture and barbecue, private parking on site, and a mooring suitable for small boats—a dinghy and rowing boat are available (four life jackets included). The garden borders an unfenced water-filled dyke where neighbouring properties have access and right of way. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The property is available to families and couples only, and is non-smoking.
A pub stands within a mile, and the Barton Broad Boardwalk offers nearby walking. Caister's sandy beach is easily reachable for a day trip, while Norwich—with its cathedral, castle, market and shops—lies within driving distance. The Broads themselves are a few miles away for day-boat hire and waterside dining.
