What visitors say
Wouldn’t give a star if it was an option. My partner was there all day. The food was not nice and very over priced. The owner told me that he should have booked and asked twice if we had cleaned up and was extremely rude and patronising. He’s a horrible man. He told us the park shut at 7 pm and we left at 6.20pm and he locked us in. When we knocked on his door for him to open the gates he said you, “you should have thought about that earlier” and told us we should of booked but there was only 2 people on the lake we was on and there was no mention of this when we came at 8.30 am he waited until we left to tell us this. This was very unclear as to what he meant. He was rude to all fishers not just us. I would not recommend going here. Waste of money as there wasn’t many fish and I am now in a bad mood. Don’t go !!!!

Nice site, 30 minute walk into Northallerton but no path most of the way. Taxi approximately £6.50. Showers after to press every 5 seconds - not great. Definitely need more hooks in shower - only one hook. Can't hang towels and clothes on one!

Can’t recommend the new ladies in the cafe enough they’re brilliant. Same goes for Steve the site manager he’s been nothing but helpful of late always at the end of the phone. The owners are all lovely. Really is a gorgeous place to be.

.After a 20-plus-year break, I finally got back to fishing today at Parklands! Steve was a massive help, showing me how to use the rubber bands to hold my bait, and they worked like a charm. I was thrilled to land two carp and had a great time fighting (and losing!) a few bigger ones. Fishing with a pole is so much fun—it's surprisingly easy! I'm completely hooked again and looking forward to picking up more tips.
