Angram Farmhouse

North Yorkshire

View on Google Maps

Angram Farmhouse dates to the 1600s and retains the character that comes with age—oak beams, mullion windows and an open fire among the original features. The building sits in Halton Gill, a hamlet in Littondale at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, on working farmland with countryside views and a beck running past the walled garden.

The accommodation spreads across three floors. Ground floor has a living room with an open fire, a second sitting room, and a kitchen/dining space with a Rayburn, electric oven and full appliances for self-catering. Upstairs are four bedrooms: a king with an ensuite shower, two singles, another single, and a bunk room. Two bathrooms serve the property. Essentials including bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are provided; fuel for the fire and stove is included. The enclosed garden has a patio, sitting area, garden furniture and a barbecue. Private parking for two cars is on site.

The property suits families and groups seeking countryside space away from towns. Amelia's Kitchen is nearby for meals out. Note that there are steep and narrow stairs, and a small pond in the grounds. The hamlet location means it is quiet rather than convenient for shops; the Yorkshire Dales themselves offer walking and exploring. No smoking inside, and pets are not permitted.
