Arngill
North Yorkshire
Arngill comes with everything needed for a self-catering stay. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer—and there's a washing machine on the ground floor. Heating is oil-fired central, bed linen and towels are provided, and wi-fi keeps you connected. A wood burner adds character to the living room if you want a fire (logs are available locally). You get private parking for one car and an enclosed patio with garden furniture outside.
This is a converted chapel from 1845, now a two-bedroom cottage sleeping four. The ground floor has a living and dining room with Freeview TV and DVD player, plus a separate toilet. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and a bathroom with a bath and shower. The property retains original features: stone and lime-rendered fireplace, exposed beams, solid oak floorboards and a curved feature staircase. Meadows face the windows, with Straw Beck running opposite.
Based at the head of Swaledale within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Arngill suits walkers and those after a quiet base for exploring the landscape. One well-behaved pet can stay free. No smoking inside.
