Meadowsweet Cottage works well for families wanting space to spread out, or two couples travelling together. The property gives you three bedrooms across two floors—two doubles with ensuite bathrooms and a single—plus a ground-floor open-plan living area with a wood-burning stove. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which matters when people need to get ready at the same time. Bed linen and towels come with the booking, along with Wi-Fi and heating throughout.
The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room (shared with other properties on-site), a travel cot if you need one, and private parking for two cars. A walled garden with a patio and shared barbecue sits at the rear, facing west for evening sun. You're three miles from Scarborough's beaches, a 15-minute walk from Scalby village where there's a café, restaurant and local pubs, and on the doorstep of walking and cycling country around the North York Moors. The Cleveland Way footpath runs nearby. Scarborough itself has a Sea Life Centre, Theatre in the Round, and harbour-based boat trips. No smoking inside the cottage.

The lovely peaceful setting provides our family, which includes one person with Altzheimers Disease and one teenager with Aspergers Syndrome, with the opportunity to spend a holiday together in harmony. Useful buses link to Scarborough and Whitby enabling us accomodate individual interests and needs.
