Bosun’s Quarters
North Yorkshire
Bosun's Quarters occupies the top two floors of a building in central Whitby. Walk up three steps to reach the third floor, where a shower room with walk-in enclosure and heated towel rail serves the property. The fourth floor holds the living quarters: an open-plan space with living area, dining space and kitchen flowing together, plus two bedrooms and access to a small balcony or outdoor area. One bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6in), the other two singles (3ft each). The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. There's a washing machine on site, and essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included in the rental. One parking space comes with the property.
Whitby town centre spreads out on your doorstep: independent shops, pubs serving fish and chips or fine dining, cafes and live music venues are all within walking distance. The seafront and a two-mile stretch of golden sand are nearby for rock pooling and fossil hunting. The famous 199 steps lead up to Whitby Abbey on the East Cliff. Beyond the town, the North York Moors National Park offers walking routes, waterfalls and the steam railway that runs from Whitby station into the countryside. The property does not permit smoking. It sleeps four and suits couples or families wanting a town-centre base without fuss.
