Bushby Cottage
North Yorkshire
Bushby Cottage is a single bedroom property in Upper Wensleydale, designed around natural materials and the owner's own textile art. The open-plan living space has an electric wood burner, slate flooring and wool rugs; the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking with an oven and hob; the bedroom upstairs contains a kingsize bed, with an ensuite shower. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, and there is private parking on site.
The cottage suits couples or small groups wanting to walk from the door—the Pennine Way runs through the village and there are countless fell paths nearby, plus Hardraw Force waterfall is close by. The market town of Hawes, a mile and a half away, has pubs, restaurants and the Wensleydale Creamery. Hardraw itself has an art gallery, tearoom and traditional inn. A bus service connects the village to Garsdale Head station and routes around the dales. The property has open, steep spiral stairs.
