Walking through the front door of Cass Lodge puts you into an open-plan ground floor that flows from living space through to the kitchen and dining area. A wood burner anchors the living room; French doors open directly onto the garden where a five-person hot tub waits. The kitchen has everything needed for self-catering—oven, hob, dishwasher, and the rest—while a separate toilet is tucked downstairs too. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a kingsize with its own toilet, two singles, and another single, served by a bathroom with a bath and shower.
The property sits on an active arable farm surrounded by open countryside and working farmland. Guests have use of the enclosed lawn, patio, garden furniture, and barbecue, plus parking for two cars and a bike store. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels, and wi-fi are all included. The winding stairs to the first floor are steep and may present difficulty for those with mobility issues. Note that this is a working farm—the stairs to the upper floor are steep; couples and family bookings only.
The location is quiet enough that clear nights reveal the Milky Way, and the surrounding lanes and bridleways suit cyclists and walkers. Various Sustrans routes pass nearby, including sections of the Way of the Roses and Trans Pennine cycling networks. Walks begin from the property itself, crossing farmland and woodland with views toward the Hambleton Hills.
