Can't fault the location, nice and peaceful. Room was excellent and spacious. Host was nice and friendly too, even though we only spoke briefly. Only a couple of things to make the stay better. 1 a mini fridge in the room would be beneficial so we could store fresh milk (even though this is a shared fridge elsewhere) 2 a mattress topper would be a good idea as we both found the bed quite uncomfortable, we're only in our 30's and both woke up aching. Wasn't put off as we only stayed 2 nights and would still highly recommend if you want peace and quiet, spacious room, local pub and Cantonese restaurant within a short drive to York. Had a wonderful time, thank you!

A large cosy double room with two armchairs. The mattress was very comfortable. The room was always lovely and warm, excellent heating. Good size en suite. Parking on site. Highly recommend.

Lovely clean, warm rooms with comfortable beds. Owners are very friendly with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. Diappointed that there's hardly anywhere near by to eat, the worst of all is there is no breakfast you have to drive to be able to get breakfast.

The motel was very handy for our weekend away fishing nearby. It is right in the village behind a pub, opposite the chippy with another pub and the village shop just round the corner, perfect! The room and bathroom are clean, a reasonable size and includes everything you need whilst away. Check in and out very easy, will be back.
