About The Hawkhills
Breakfast, a restaurant and a bar form the backbone of a stay at The Hawkhills, an adults-only hotel on Hawkhills Drive just outside Easingwold. Packed lunches can be arranged for days out, and drinks can be brought straight to the room for those who'd rather not leave it.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and the hotel is accessible throughout with a lift to the upper floors. Outside, there's a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating for warmer days, plus a gym for anyone keen to keep up a routine while away. The property also handles weddings, with a bridal suite on hand, and offers meeting rooms and business services for those combining work with the trip.
Free on-site parking makes it easy to explore further afield, with York's historic centre within reach by car. Locally there's a golf course, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, and the hotel's own laundry service and luggage storage take care of the practical side of things.

A beautiful setting in the Yorkshire countryside. I stayed here a few times for work training. The bedrooms are like student halls but with double beds. They are broadly well maintained, clean. The food on offer is fairly decent. I did find it frustrating as a veggie, that the vegan and vegetarian options were combined as it limited the veggie options (e.g. cheese etc).

Hawkhills is set in what must be some of the most beautiful countryside in England. The estate is absolutely stunning, with around 240 acres of pure British landscape that feels untouched and peaceful. If you like nature, long walks, and quiet surroundings, this place is a real gem. The grounds are the highlight. Rolling fields, woodland, and open space in every direction make it feel completely removed from everyday life. It is the kind of place where you actually slow down and breathe. The rooms are simple and not luxurious, but functional. My room was comfortable, and the facilities felt fairly new and well maintained. One downside was that the floor had some visible stains, which suggested a lack of deep hygienic cleaning. That said, there was no mold, no damp smell, and overall the room felt fine to stay in. Food was a bit mixed. Some meals were good and enjoyable, while others were not so great. It was inconsistent. On the positive side, the pints were very reasonably priced at around £3, which is refreshing these days. Facilities overall were good and practical, and my stay was very pleasant despite a few minor flaws. This is not a luxury hotel, but it is a fantastic countryside retreat with an amazing setting. Overall, Hawkhills is a great place to disconnect, enjoy nature, and stay somewhere peaceful. The estate alone makes it worth the visit.

A gorgeous place to stay! Liked · Lovely location, in the middle of nowhere - you can definitely feel the calm and tranquility of this place, which is lovely! The main building is absolutely gorgeous - an old feel to it but kept immaculate. Staff were very helfull, from reception to hosts in the breakfast area. Room was tidy and clean. Parking felt secure. Breakfast was good. Disliked · The extractor in the bathroom - not able to switch this off, appears to be done centrally late in the day, which disrupted my sleep as I was taking a nap. Breakfast could have more options, specially if you don't eat the full english breakfast - maybe some fresh fruit? I just wish I could have stayed in the main building, but you are redirected to a new side building where the rooms are located.
