Coachman's House works well for couples or small families after a proper break. Set over three floors just off Church Street in Whitby, the cottage puts you within reach of the beach, the abbey, and a string of pubs without the noise of the busier streets. Ground floor has the kitchen and dining space with a full cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs, the living room has a television and radio; the bathroom is fitted with a bath and shower. Two bedrooms on the top floor sleep four: one king bed and two singles.
The essentials are sorted—heating, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard, along with Wi-Fi. There is a public car park nearby at cost. The property is no-smoking.
Whitby draws visitors for its year-round calendar of festivals and events, but equally for quieter pursuits: boat trips looking for dolphins and seals, or simply walking the beaches and browsing the cafés. The North York Moors National Park is within reach, as are stretches of the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. The Cinder Track follows a disused railway through woodland toward Robin Hood's Bay; the Cleveland Way runs along the cliff edge. Monks Haven is also nearby for those wanting to explore further afield.
