Whitby Holiday Park

Stayed in a campervan. Great onsite facilities, dog friendly on the site and in the bar. Whitby is a 15 - 20 mins walk along the costal path. Easy to follow, well trodden path along the cliff edge withnamazing views. The site is very well maintained and we definitely be returning. Amazing sea views directly from the back of the campervan, and a lovely spot to have a drink & relax.

What a fantastic find, we will be back again. After a previous bad experience with a different provider in Whitby, when they put us in the worst flat that they had when we said that we were bringing a dog, we arrived hesitantly. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The services were as advertised: facilities, dog shower, internet connection, playground and dog friendly bar & Bistro. The site was clean and tidy. The static caravan was spotless and well equipped. Welcome packs of washing up items and toiletries were a nice little extra. The beds were clean and comfortable. The TV was up-to-date with channels. There was fantastic internet provision where several devices were connected with no loss of speed. The staff were even helpful after we left with advising us of the best way to get our slow cooker back after we left it. We can't wait to book again.

The site was recommend by a friend for our first run out in our camper. Site was lovely, cliff top sea views and a cliff top walk to Whitby. You'll have to pass the Abbey on the way down which is visible from the site. Facilities are very clean and well maintained. Overall site is lovely with a mix of statics and campervans. There's a small shop on site too for bits and pieces which is very welcome. Nice new clubhouse too. Really great visit all in all, super location for Saltwick bay, Whitby and it's attractions and a possible walk out to Robin Hoods bay from the site. Be sure to walk down to the Abbey brewery from here.

The site location was perfect, we loved it. I do feel they would benefit from some extra lighting on the paths for those last dog walks in the evening, but without contradicting myself I also enjoy the low light pollution. The staff were lovely, and we felt very welcomed. The accommodation i thought really let our experience down, we we're happy to pay what we thought was top dollar for 4 nights away, but we feel slightly let down. The caravan matt was covered in dog hairs when we got there. There is old spiders webbs everywhere. And the bathroom radiator and extractor were very dusty There was an entanglement of dead flies on the door frame. The tv remote was held together by tape. The heater remote had no batteries at all The electric heater was plugged in to a two way extension, surely thats not safe? The tv would switch itself off when the heater kicked in or your turned the light on and off in the hallway? The towl holder in the bathroom is hanging off. Stains on the carpet. Over all we would definitely return due to the perfect location, but we would definitely not stay in a caravan again (there is other options that look smart) For the record, I did report all these issues to the park, and I was told they would review my email in depth and reply to me, that was 3 weeks ago, there's radio silence now, but like I said, I'd definitely return I'll just choose my accommodation wisely.
