Church Houses sits on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, surrounded by open countryside ideal for walking. Helmsley, Pickering and Thirsk are all within driving distance, each with independent shops, pubs and restaurants. The converted chapel itself dates from 1886 and retains period features alongside contemporary comforts—high ceilings and tall windows flood the open-plan living space with light, while a woodburner provides warmth on cooler evenings.
Three bedrooms sleep up to six: ground floor has a twin with ensuite shower and separate toilet; upstairs are a zip-and-link super kingsize and a kingsize, sharing a shower room. The ground floor opens onto a sociable kitchen-diner with all essentials for self-catering, including dishwasher and washing machine. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included, along with initial fuel for the stove. Front garden has seating and a barbecue. Parking for four cars on site. One dog travels free.
The layout suits groups of friends or extended families wanting to gather comfortably without feeling cramped. Smoking is not permitted inside.
