Sinnington sits within reach of the North York Moors, the Yorkshire coast and several larger towns worth visiting. The village itself has a pony trekking centre; from here you can walk or drive straight into moorland. Pickering with its steam railway is 4 miles away, Helmsley and Castle Howard are accessible for a day out, and the seaside at Whitby or Scarborough are roughly 30 miles off. An excellent pub stands just 100 yards down the road.
Evergreen Cottage is a mid-terraced house with two bedrooms—one kingsize, one with twin singles—sleeping four people. The ground floor has a living room with a multi-fuel burner, DVD and music options, plus a separate dining room and kitchen equipped for proper cooking and laundry. Upstairs is the bathroom with a shower over the bath. You get the whole place to yourselves, with an enclosed lawned garden, patio and barbecue outside. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; initial fuel for the burner is too. There is bike storage and on-road parking available.
One dog can stay free of charge. The cottage does not permit smoking. It suits families or small groups wanting a base for exploring the moors and wider region, with the option of settling in locally if the weather turns.

This is our fourth stay at Evergreen Cottage, which demonstrates how much we love it. We feel at home as soon as we walk through the door. It’s spotlessly clean, has all the facilities we need, including comfortable lounge, log burner, TV and good Wi-Fi. Set in the beautiful village of Sinnington, with great walks from the doorstep and of course the wonderful moorland not far away. Pickering is just a few minutes drive away, with the iconic steam railway taking you as far as Whitby if required. Karen and Ray always make us very welcome and are always willing to assist in any way to make our stay extremely pleasant. Thanks to you both!

Delightful cottage in the pretty Yorkshire village of Sinnington, near Pickering. Sleeps 4. Comfortable and well appointed. Dog friendly with large enclosed garden. Lots of forest walks from the doorstep. Lovely owners live next door. Fresh eggs available from honesty boxes on village high street. The large village common is a great safe place to chill adjacent to the nature rich river. Great location for trips to nearby Cropton and Dalby forests and beaches (Whitby, Scarborough, Filey & Bridlington). Michelin listed gastro pub in the village serves good food. Lots of dog friendly pubs and restaurants in the area. A gem of a property and one of my favourite holiday locations to unwind. Highly recommended.

Fourth time to Sinnington and second time in Evergreen. Lovely village and people and so much to do in this part of the world.
