Cliff Farm Holidays

My Wife and I have just spent 5 days at Cliff Farm on this caravan park a few miles from pickering that is also a working farm of mixed arable and cattle. This place is undoubtedly one of the best independent parks we have stayed on with our touring caravan. The park is quiet, is very well kept with good hardstanding with great views over the countryside. The shower/toilet facilities are modern and kept in immaculate condition and there is a modern laundry room. For those that like strolls there are 3 well marked walks around the farm land. The owners are very friendly and approachable . One feature of this park that we like is the metered electricity for hook up. On arrival a card is loaded with whatever you feel appropriate. We were advised that this time of year we would use a couple of quid a day so loaded a tenner onto it. The card is then put in the meter and a readout advises how many KW are on it. Unbelievably we only used just over seven quids worth although we were really only using it for heating hot water, for the kettle, TV and lights. Any money left on the card is refundable. To me this is an indication how some sites, including club sites appear to be ripping customers off with excessive charges for hookup. Anyway, rant over, we will definitely be returning to this park that is incidentally open all year round with the exception of January.

First time staying here and so pleased we did. We were made very welcome, shown all the facilities and told all the information we would need for our stay. Such a lovely clean and well kept site,the toilets and showers are spotless, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer which is reasonable to use. There are some beautiful walks from the site,which are very well signposted for different levels of distance. The site is quite and there is everything you need here,we bought new gas bottles from the site. We would recommend this site to friends and family.

The hosts are welcoming, friendly, hard working and accomodating. The site is very clean, tidy and well marked out. May need chocks on some pitches but not an issue. The toilets and showers are very clean and heated. Very peaceful at night and a pub is in walking distance but we didnt use it. A tour and talk of the farm is offered at certain times which we definitely would have gone on if we had stayed longer, what a brilliant idea. Metered electric, which seems to be a lot fairer especially in the winter months. I did joke about not writing a review as it would get too popular. All in all we can highly recommend this site and will definitely return if in the area.

Very friendly welcome from Rob ,showed us to our pitch and sorted ehu for us,met Pip the little farm dog shortly after and he stayed for a bite to eat. Absolutely lovely site in great surroundings,I can understand why quite a few people are there for the season,would definitely come back.
