Hill View Cottage is a single-bedroom property near York, done up as a romantic retreat for two. The main living space downstairs includes a woodburner, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, and a dining area. Upstairs is a kingsize bedroom and shower room. The real draw is the hot tub installed in the summerhouse, accessed through the enclosed garden.

Essentials are covered: electricity, wi-fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, and logs for the fire come with the booking. The property is yours alone. One dog can stay free of charge. Note that it's a non-smoking cottage.

The village location puts you within reach of the North Yorkshire Moors on foot or by car, with Pickering's heritage steam railway four miles away. Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside offer shops and restaurants within ten miles, and the coastal towns—Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hood's Bay—are easily driven to. York itself is thirty miles south. The Fox & Hounds Country Inn is nearby if you'd rather eat out than cook.

Lovely little cottage in a nice village. Comfortable and really well equipped. Was tidy and welcoming and id defo go back. Lovely pub over the road with a nice beer garden and serving great food. Not a lot goes on in the village, I dont think theres even a corner shop to get a pint of milk but there's plenty within a short drive. Some really nice walks around the area which we pretty much found by chance. Dog friendly.

Really quaint little cottage which is surprisingly roomy. Everything you could possibly need plus a bit more Really pretty with the bonus of a jacuzzi bath in the garden. I would thoroughly recommend it. Perfect for your furry friends as well.
