Sinnington sits on the edge of North York Moors country, within reach of Dalby Forest's woodland trails and an hour's drive from Scarborough, Whitby and Filey's beaches. The village itself has a stream, a micro bakery, and a traditional inn a few hundred metres away. Pickering's market town lies nearby with its castle and steam railway, while Rievaulx Abbey and the grounds at Castle Howard are also within reasonable distance for day trips.
