Forge House
North Yorkshire
Thornton Le Dale offers plenty to explore without needing to travel far. The village itself draws walkers and visitors year-round, and it sits within reach of the North York Moors—ideal for days out hiking, cycling or simply driving through the landscape. Nearby attractions and market towns are accessible by car, making Forge House a practical base for a North Yorkshire break.
The cottage itself is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom property sleeping four. Ground floor contains the kitchen—equipped for proper cooking—and an open-plan living and dining room with an electric fire, comfortable seating and a dining table positioned to overlook the beck. Glass doors lead to a terrace beside the water, a quiet spot for morning coffee or an evening drink. Upstairs are two bedrooms: a generous king-bedded room with an en suite, and a second bedroom with zip-and-link beds (configured as two singles or one king). A reading area sits at the foot of the stairs. Essentials are covered: wi-fi, electricity, heating, bed linen and towels. One car can park on the property, with garage storage available. One well-behaved pet stays free. The property is non-smoking, and the beck—while peaceful to listen to—does run below a low wall, so children need supervising outdoors.
