Forge View Cottage is a three-bedroom property sleeping six in the village of Thornton Le Dale, between York and the North Yorkshire Coast. The cottage dates from the late 1700s and retains original character throughout, with exposed beams and fireplaces. It's a ten-minute drive from Dalby Forest and within reach of the North York Moors, making it a practical base for exploring the region on foot or by bike.
The ground floor holds a living and dining room with a 37-inch smart TV and open fire, plus a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch, with a dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a king, a double, and two singles. There is one bathroom with a shower cubicle and heated towel rail. An enclosed courtyard with patio and garden furniture provides outdoor space, and there is parking for two cars on site. One pet stays free of charge. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with an initial supply for the open fire.
The village itself has two pubs and a pharmacy nearby. No smoking is permitted inside.
