Heron Mews
North Yorkshire
Whitby sits on the Yorkshire coast where the River Esk meets the sea, a working fishing town with narrow streets, independent shops and a long maritime history. Heron Mews stands a mile from the town centre within a small development of holiday homes, positioned to take in views across the river from its upper floors. The three storeys give plenty of separation between sleeping and living spaces, useful when sharing with another family or when you need a retreat.
Inside: ground floor has a sitting room and a kitchen/dining room equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and full fridge space. A toilet is separate. The first floor holds two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and French doors onto a balcony, the other with bunks, plus a bathroom. The second floor has two further kingsize bedrooms and another bathroom. Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are all covered. Wi-Fi keeps you connected. One dog can stay free of charge. Outdoor space includes a patio with seating and a lawned garden (shared with neighbouring properties). Parking is on-site.
The location works well for families wanting to explore the North York Moors—Grosmont with its steam railway and Goathland (the Heartbeat village) are both within reach. The river itself draws people who fish or sail. Smoking is not permitted inside.
