Hidey-Hole Cottage
North Yorkshire
Whitby's medieval streets, harbour and beach are all within easy reach of Hidey-Hole Cottage, which sits in the heart of the town centre. The 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary and the ruins of Whitby Abbey are nearby, as are independent boutiques, bars and restaurants in the surrounding narrow lanes. Across the swing bridge on Pier Road you'll find arcades, traditional fish and chip shops and the West Cliff Beach with its coloured huts. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park spreads out beyond the town for longer walks and exploration.
The cottage itself spans three floors and sleeps six across three bedrooms: two doubles and a twin room. There are three bathrooms between them. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with a gas hob and electric oven, and there's a wood-burning stove in the living room for evenings in. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; heating and electricity are covered too. One dog can stay at no extra cost. The cottage is yours alone for the duration of your stay, and there's no smoking inside.
