High Dalton Hall Cottage
North Yorkshire

High Dalton Hall Cottage sits on a working hill farm near Newsham, surrounded by pasture and open moorland. This is rural North Yorkshire at its quietest—sheep and cattle in the fields, the kind of landscape that rolls toward Teesdale. The conversion itself preserves the character of its stone barn origins: oak beams, a wood burner in an inglenook, large windows framing the view rather than the other way around.
The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms—a double with an ensuite, and two singles served by a separate bathroom. Ground floor living means the sitting room, kitchen and both bedrooms are on the same level; the kitchen has a cooker, dishwasher and microwave for self-catering. Heating is biomass, wi-fi works throughout, and bed linen and towels are provided. The patio and garden furniture face out toward the fields; the private hot tub sits ready for evening use. You can park two cars on site.
Walking country is immediate. Newsham itself is small; the appeal here is the footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes that branch into the surrounding hills and valleys. The grounds themselves—140 acres shared with the owner—include a pond, which lies unfenced about 220 yards from the cottage. No smoking inside; arrival is after 3pm and checkout before 10am.

Yes it's a working farm but you are not inconvenience d by it in any way. The cottage is extremely well stocked. I not find any faults. The surrounding villages are beautiful.
