Kettlewell sits at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by moorland walks and dry stone walls. Holly Cottage occupies the village centre, a short walk from the pub and shop. The main house is a traditional stone cottage with a separate one-bedroom annexe across the road, giving you the choice of how to arrange yourselves across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom upstairs is a double; the other has bunk beds. The annexe contains a zip-and-link bed that converts from a kingsize for two into singles for children, with its own en-suite and small kitchenette.
The living space centres on a multi-fuel stove in the open-plan sitting and dining room, which has a television, comfortable seating, and enough table space for six. The main kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; the annexe has a microwave and fridge for lighter meals or drinks. Essentials like heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided. There is parking for two cars on site and a bike store, plus an external utility room with a washing machine and freezer. One well-behaved dog can stay free. The enclosed front yard is small. Smoking is not permitted inside.
The location puts you within reach of both gentler riverside strolls and serious fell walks, and the village itself is quiet enough for a genuine break while remaining close enough to pubs, shops and the larger towns of Wharfedale.
