The Arches comes with everything needed for a self-catering break: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included, along with logs for the open fire. The kitchen is fully fitted with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and all standard appliances, making it straightforward to prepare meals. Two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed and ensuite shower, the other with zip-and-link single beds—sit alongside a family bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower.

All rooms are on the ground floor, opening into a living and dining space centred on an open fire. Beyond the patio doors lies an enclosed garden with seating, a private spot for relaxing between days out. On-site parking covers two cars, and a separate building houses a tumble dryer for longer stays. The cottage suits families and couples alike; a cot and highchair are available if needed. The property does not permit smoking.

Slingsby village—150 yards away—has a pub, farm shop and children's play park. Castle Howard is nearby, York lies 16 miles south, and the North York Moors, Malton and Helmsley are all within easy reach. Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are accessible for a seaside visit.
