Maple Cottage

Slingsby is a quiet village near Malton in North Yorkshire, surrounded by countryside that rewards exploring on foot or by car. Maple Cottage sits within this rural setting, an 18th-century stone building that has been updated without losing its character. It's the kind of place where couples and small groups come to slow down for a weekend or week, though one dog is welcome to come along.

The ground floor holds a living and dining space with a wood burner, a well-equipped kitchen where you can cook proper meals, and the stairs up to the first floor—which are steep and turn sharply. Upstairs you'll find the bedroom with a double bed, a shower room with a heated towel rail, and a music room furnished with records and memorabilia. Bed linen, towels, WiFi and electricity are all included, and there's initial fuel for the burner too. Outside is an enclosed garden with a patio and seating. One car can park on the property.

The cottage doesn't allow smoking. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.
