Horners cottage

Horners Cottage is a two-bedroom property sleeping four, positioned on the upper harbour in Whitby's old town. What sets it apart is the private bar on the ground floor—a genuine talking point for groups wanting something different. The cottage comes with everything needed for a self-catering stay: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and there's a washing machine and separate utility room for practicalities.

The layout spreads across three floors. The ground floor has a living room with Freeview TV and access to that private bar. The first floor holds the main kitchen, a second living room at the front with a dining table, and the shower room. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed and a large window overlooking the harbour and town, the other with two single beds. There are 14 steps to the entrance, and a stairgate is fitted for families with small children.

From the cottage, you're under ten minutes' walk along the harbour footpath to the old town's centre, passing fish and chip shops and pubs. The elevated position offers views across the water and towards the cliffs. There's on-road parking outside. No smoking is permitted. The property is not suitable for smokers and works best for groups who want a kitchen to cook in rather than relying entirely on local restaurants.
