About High Paradise Farm
Tucked right alongside Boltby Forest in the North York Moors National Park, High Paradise Farm is very much a wildlife haven. Think hares doing sprints across the field at dawn, foxes conducting night meetings and a whole cast of other beasties going about their business. The tearoom serves delicious food and drinks, while an honesty shop keeps you stocked up, and the farm's own roaming dogs add to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
Guests (and their dogs) can conduct their own adventures such as building stick houses in the forest or simply taking in the peace and quiet, the trees and the big sky above. Getting to the site is also part of the adventure, as High Paradise Farm is on the eight-mile stretch between Thirsk (20 minutes' drive) and Helmsley (25 minutes). The roads are proper North Yorkshire: narrow, twisty, a bit bumpy and full of character, but with surprise passing places.
Each pitch has its own picnic bench and firepit. Facilities have been kept basic on purpose; there's a communal amenities block with toilets, a shower and a washing-up area and a communal courtyard with seats and a hammock. In Boltby, 10 minutes' drive away, pick your activity: horse trekking at the local stables or picking up the Cleveland Way for a long-distance moors walk followed by a visit to the pub in Hawnby (also 10 minutes away).

Had a lovely stay there with fiancée and dog. The owners had 3 small (and rather reactive) dogs which were free to roam around even at the campsite, this meant there was dog poo which was not picked up and also their dogs barking at mine everytime they came over caused some issues, I think the dogs have plenty of space to roam without the need to roam the actual campsite field. Lovely shop and cafe and owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful views all through the day and not far from activities in the local area (by car). Toilet and showers were quite nice for a campsite.

Stayed here whilst walking the Cleveland Way. What a gem of a place!!! Perfect location for walkers and mountain bikers. The rooms are around a Central Courtyard, lovely tearoom with scrummy cakes and cookies. Well stocked shop with everything you might need for your stay. The staff were very friendly, made me a delicious salad to go with the lasagne I’d chosen from the shop. Room was lovely with a cosy wood burner and everything you could need to prepare a meal. Eco friendly too! The campsite looks lovely too although I wasn’t camping on this occasion. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed here for one night because we were travelling on to a wedding the next day. Seriously one of the comfiest beds ever, and a good set of facilities in our room (the Piggery). Everyone was friendly including the dogs . Liked the indoor courtyard and tearoom too. Views are great.

What a find and total unexpected gem on the Cleveland Way. So welcoming as you walk into the beautiful courtyard. Very dog friendly and charming accommodation, plus best cream tea. A really unique experience. Highly recommend
