The Cottage is a traditional stone-built house in Sinnington, a quiet village where the green runs down past the front door. Three bedrooms—two doubles and one with twin singles—and a bathroom occupy the first floor. Downstairs, the living room has a gas fire and connects to the kitchen/dining room via an interconnecting door (this leads to an adjacent cottage, which can be booked separately). A separate toilet completes the ground floor. One car can park on site, and you have access to a shared enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue.
The kitchen is equipped for everyday cooking: electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Gas central heating keeps things warm. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. Smoking is not permitted. Sinnington has a micro bakery, a traditional inn 350 yards away, and a stream running through it. Beadlam, three miles off, has a farm shop and a tearoom. The North York Moors are accessible from the doorstep via walking and cycling routes. Nearby market towns and attractions include Pickering, Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, Rievaulx Abbey, and various family venues; sandy beaches at Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are within an hour's drive. One pet is welcome.
